44,000+ Items Collected in Food Drive

Branches across the country come together to collect food for local communities.

The first annual Roto-Rooter Giving Thanks Food Drive ran from November 1-30 and was a great success. We collected more than 44,286 items for donation throughout the month for local food banks and pet shelters! That’s over 48,000 pounds or 24 tons of food - enough to feed more than 24 adults 3 full meals a day for an entire year.

The Cleveland Branch collected the largest percentage of donations when weighed with their job count. Frank Rivera of Camden collected the most donations with a total of 707! The Safety and Risk Management team collected the most donations at home office and the Baltimore Call Center topped the list for call centers.

The success of the drive came from the enthusiasm shared by technicians and branches across the company. Thanks to them, Roto-Rooter was able to provide countless individuals, families and pets with food this holiday season. Our customers expressed great support of the effort. Here are just a few of the comments we’ve received:

“What an awesome charitable thing to do!” - Deanne K.
“What a wonderful way to give back. It would be nice if other businesses did things like this.” - Karen L.
“God bless y’all from the bottom of my heart!” – Charlie K.
“This is so touching - just beautiful.” - Macrona D.
“Need more companies doing this.” – Lois K.
