The GM garbage disposal is something most of us have experienced. First, press the reset button at the bottom of the disposal. If that doesn't work, turn off the power switch then shut off power at the circuit breaker. Find the keyhole on the bottom of the disposal, it should be at the center. Insert the GM key or a hex wrench and move it back and forth. Turn on the power and test. Finally, some plumbing problems are best left with an experienced plumber.
