How to prevent spring flooding?
- Test your sump pump by pouring a few buckets of water into the sump pit. The pump should quickly turn on, discharge the water then shut off without any problems.
- Install a battery backup for your sump pump.
- Make sure yard drains, gutters and downspouts are cleaned out, open, and free of debris.
- Check for bird nests in plumbing vent pipes.
- Check faucets and hose bibs to make sure water flows freely. If an outdoor faucet drips or if there is leakage inside your home the first time the hose is turned on, you may have had a frozen pipe that cracked and needs to be replaced.

Professional, efficient.Anne R.
Heto was great he fixed the insert that I damaged myself by trying to remove it without the right tools. He got the broken insert out and installed the new ... one in no time, Saved me money!
I had called with a follow-up on what had been a poor replacement experience of a Moen cartridge in the kitchen faucet a year ago March. It has gotten ... harder and harder to turn on and off during this time - main reason for earlier work. It seems that most repairs done have a warrantee of six months - have had up to a year for other things in the past. At first rather I was rather upset because of this, but Pat offered to recheck the cartrdge since I still had to pay for the service call - glad I had him do it. As he was turning off the cold water line under the sink the valve handle broke so a new unit had to be installed. The cartridge was installed and the faucet is now working properly! Also I am glad the other is taken care of. I knew Pat from the past so we were able to communicate easily.
