How to prevent frozen pipes and what to do if they freeze?
Wrap water supply pipes with foam pipe insulation sleeves. Use heat tape on the most vulnerable pipes. Disconnect outside water hoses then cover outdoor faucets with foam insulation kits to prevent them from freezing. Open cabinet doors beneath sinks to so warm air will circulate around pipes. Allow water to trickle from faucets when temperatures drop below freezing. Keep furnace set no lower than 55 degrees Fahrenheit. If your pipes have already frozen, use a hair dryer to thaw the pipe. Point a space heater at the pipe or the wall containing the frozen pipe. Never use an open flame to heat a pipe! If necessary, call a plumber to thaw pipes. If a frozen pipe has burst, turn off the main water supply valve in the house and open faucets to relieve pressure and minimize damage.

I really appreciated the quick response--especially in the evening during the holiday season! Felipe was WONDERFUL!! He explained everything that he was doing and even gave suggestions for the future.Michelle S.
I needed my kitchen sink drain cleaned out. I e-mailed Roto-Rooter about 11 AM asking for a Noon-4 appt. About 15 minutes later I got a call saying ... a service tech would be here in 30-40 minutes. He arrived right on schedule. I took about 10 minutes to show him how the pipes ran in the basement and explained this was about the 3rd time in 30 years the drain had slowed down (poor design). He got right to work and about 45 minutes later he had the drain running better than ever. Thanks, Leonard!
Very nice service fast quick clean resolve the problem and hopefully if I have a problem again which I hope I don't I will call you again is there a ... warranty on the work that you have done?
