My landlord contracted to have Roto-Rooter assess and repair my drainage issue. I had sewer gas odors coming from my kitchen sink with occasional gurgling sounds for a few ... days. Today my toilet overflowed when I flushed it. Jose arrived within the promised timeframe and quickly diagnosed the problem, then set about snaking the line. He snaked a second time with a different cutter to ensure the problem was solved. Water now flows freely and already the odors are greatly diminished in my kitchen. Jose was very good at his job and he explained the problem concisely to me. I'm very appreciative of his efforts and grateful he was able to come at such a late hour to take care of this. Jose is a wonderful reflection of what customer service should be. Thank you.

Juan and Edwardo, who did the water restoration, were terrific. Then two more fellows whose names I did not catch stayed all the next day for the pipe repair. ... It was quite a job, and the workers were all excellent. Unfortunately the dispatch/phone service was lacking. The Oakland office had just been acquired by Roto Rooter, and the phones were all mixed up and being routed through Chicago — one hand did not know what the other was doing. Hopefully this issue has been smoothed over. Finally, the problem here was that the pipes leading to our septic tank had burst and the raw sewage was flowing from under our foundation down the hill on which our house sits. I had thought the problem was because our septic tank was full, and had called Roto Rooter to empty the tank, which they did. But it is curious to me why they didn’t notify me that the sewage flow was not due to a full tank; in other words they didn’t initially spot the problem. It wasn’t until later that I noticed sewage still flowing down the hill. Roto Rooter then returned to fix the true problem, and the service there was good as noted above. But I would have thought the guys doing the septic tank emptying would have noticed that the problem was not fixed and the septic tank was not overflowing.

Explained what they were going to do and then after work was completed went over everything and showed that the sinks ... were not clogged anymore. April was very helpful when I called earlier that day to set up an appointment for service. The time that was given was not quite correct 11-3 however Cesar did call to confirm that they were on their way and would be closer to 4:30 which was fine. Communication is key. Thank you
