How to prevent frozen pipes and what to do if they freeze?
Wrap water supply pipes with foam pipe insulation sleeves. Use heat tape on the most vulnerable pipes. Disconnect outside water hoses then cover outdoor faucets with foam insulation kits to prevent them from freezing. Open cabinet doors beneath sinks to so warm air will circulate around pipes. Allow water to trickle from faucets when temperatures drop below freezing. Keep furnace set no lower than 55 degrees Fahrenheit. If your pipes have already frozen, use a hair dryer to thaw the pipe. Point a space heater at the pipe or the wall containing the frozen pipe. Never use an open flame to heat a pipe! If necessary, call a plumber to thaw pipes. If a frozen pipe has burst, turn off the main water supply valve in the house and open faucets to relieve pressure and minimize damage.
Recent Customer Reviews
We called for assistance with a clogged drain. Roto-Rooter answered quickly. They gave us an appointment with a 3-hr window. They called back within an hour and ... said the service person would be here in 30 to 45 minutes, and he showed up when promised. Victor was pleasant and knowledgeable. He got right to work checking out the outside cleanouts and drain flow within the house, then he cleaned the pipe He ran water to drain to ensure the drain was thoroughly cleaned. He provided information about other products and services. We were very impressed with Victor and Roto Rooter and the service provided.

The techs fixed the problem we had and were extremely friendly! They even helped look up an overflow cover that we could replace on our bath and sent me ... a screenshot of it. The tech also offered to run out and get it if I wanted.
