How to prevent frozen pipes and what to do if they freeze?
Wrap water supply pipes with foam pipe insulation sleeves. Use heat tape on the most vulnerable pipes. Disconnect outside water hoses then cover outdoor faucets with foam insulation kits to prevent them from freezing. Open cabinet doors beneath sinks to so warm air will circulate around pipes. Allow water to trickle from faucets when temperatures drop below freezing. Keep furnace set no lower than 55 degrees Fahrenheit. If your pipes have already frozen, use a hair dryer to thaw the pipe. Point a space heater at the pipe or the wall containing the frozen pipe. Never use an open flame to heat a pipe! If necessary, call a plumber to thaw pipes. If a frozen pipe has burst, turn off the main water supply valve in the house and open faucets to relieve pressure and minimize damage.
Recent Customer Reviews
Your Rob Moyer was honest & very much on the ball. Job put off until septic tank cleaned & time spent to see if it works properly. Your ... honesty is truly appreciated. FREDERICK FASMAN
I appreciated the work Tyler (2092) did at our house. We have a backup in our sewer line. Tyler was very polite and was very knowledgeable. I ... did not know if we had a clean out section or where it was so he doubled checked before he had to decide to go through the toilet area. Tyler was very careful and thorough. He replaced our toilet and cleaned up everything. I appreciated the work he did. Very find young man.
Great customer service. Came in time we were told. Fixed our problem fast and was gone. Would call them again.Mark P.
