Frequently Asked Questions
What is R.O. water and how is it better than ordinary tap water?
R.O. means reverse osmosis, which processes water at the molecular level. Roto-Rooter’s under-sink R.O. system squeezes tap water against a special filter membrane that separates pure water molecules from impurities. It makes some of the purest water you can drink, exceeding bottled water quality.
How often will I have to replace the salt pellets in the water softener?
It depends on water usage. Our systems are intelligent, meaning they don’t implement a system cycle on a timer, they only enter a cleaning cycle when your household has used enough water to need one. This means that Roto-Rooter softeners use less salt than ordinary water softeners. Most households will fill a salt tank 3-4 times a year. This is easily done by the homeowner and water softener salt can be purchased at most grocery stores.
We have the worst local water. It’s hard, it’s cloudy, it sometimes stinks, and it always tastes bad. Will your system fix all of these problems?
Yes. Roto-Rooter’s Premium whole house softening & filtration system will turn your water into pure, clean, soft water that has no odors or off-flavors. You’ll also save money because our under-sink reverse osmosis drinking water tap will save you from having to buy bottled water ever again.
