Roto-Rooter Giving Thanks Food Drive 2024
This year we managed to collect over 45,487 donations across the branches, home office, call centers, and contractor locations. We beat last year's totals by over 15,000 donations! We accomplished this while even changing our contribution requests from two cans to one (for service coupons to apply).
Every location that contributed is a winner. However, below are some locations and departments that deserve some extra praise. To ensure consistency and account for miscellaneous employee contributions, placements were based on total employee / department headcounts to contributions (items per employee).
Branches:
In first place was Portland Branch which contributed 2,455 donations (34 donations per employee)! Next up was Seattle Branch with 3,631 donations (32 donations per employee). In third place was East Bay Branch with 2,379 donations (22 donations per employee). When you factor in the total employees, these are no small feats! Regardless of employee counts, these three were also the top contributors in total donations across the branches.
Call Centers:
Arizona Call Center took the first place title with 620 donations (9 donations per employee). Chicago Call Center took second place with 1,022 (8 donations per employee). Third place went to Baltimore Call Center which had 361 donations (4 donations per employee).
Home Office:
Home Office turned out strong this year; managing to fill 5 giant boxes, a couple of carts, and an entire corner of the IT conference room. Across the 12th and 25th floors, 5,135 items were collected! In first place (reigning champs) was Safety & Risk with 655 donations (131 per team member), IT was second with 3,064 donations (72 per team member), and National Sales was third with 302 donations (43 per team member).
