Why Faucet Repair Can Be Frustrating

When you are going to do faucet repair on your own you need to know and understand what you are getting yourself into. Roto-Rooter has been completing faucet repair in Sacramento for many years now and we know what something like this can be very frustrating.

One of the major factors that makes faucet repair even more frustrating is a lack of knowledge on how to do it. If you are trying to make the repair and do not know what you are doing, you are probably going to become very frustrated in a hurry.

Another factor that makes faucet repair frustrating is that most people lack the proper tools needed to get the job done right and in a timely fashion. When you are trying to make this repair without the proper tools you will find it very frustrating because it will take much longer than it should. In addition, you may break something because you were using the wrong tools.

If you know what you are doing and you have the proper tools then some faucet repairs may go smoothly for you. However, it is important to know that it can still get frustrating if you do not follow directions or if you have the wrong parts and have to go and track down the right parts to make the repair. Three or four trips to the hardware store represent time wasted.

Because we are a professional plumbing company that has been doing all types of plumbing repairs for many years, we tend to have the necessary parts on our trucks and can make repairs very quickly. Of course, we also have all of the right tools for the job as well.

One small thing that gets overlooked when doing a faucet repair is the stem grease. It is important that as you are putting the faucet back together that you take the time to make sure you grease the proper places with white grease (some types of grease and oil will cause O-rings and rubber parts to swell) so that they will move freely and be like new. Generally, this includes the O-rings, the body of the faucet where it will be in contact with the O rings and then also on the stem, of course. It does not need to be a lot, but it is needed.

We understand everything about faucet repair because we have done many a faucet repair in Sacramento over the years. It is this level of experience that has taught us how to streamline our repair procedures and get the job done quickly and properly.
