A while back I wrote a post about 24 hour plumbing and I discussed Roto-Rooter's availability. I had a few angry replies from people who said they called a local Roto-Rooter that did not respond after normal business hours. Unfortunately, the writers did not mention which locations. In the interest of full disclosure, it is only fair to mention that there are 500 Roto-Rooter independent franchise locations that are not owned and operated by Roto-Rooter Services Company (which owns and operates some 115 of the largest branches in North America.
Not all of those 500 franchises are in markets that profitably support 24 hour operations but the overwhelming majority of Roto-Rooter locations provide plumbing repair service around the clock. Company-owned locations include most of the major cities like New York, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Seattle, Houston, Atlanta, Baltimore, etc. These locations cover multiple counties and serve most of the U.S. population 24 hours a day. Also, our largest independent franchises operate 24 hour plumbing providers in many of the remaining large cities such as Los Angeles, San Diego, Dallas, Fort Worth, Detroit and many other cities.
So, in fact, there are really only a few small Roto-Rooter locations that are not currently offering 24-hour service. And if they aren't company-owned locations, we cannot force those owners to do so. I apologize for any inconvenience but please know that no other plumbing company in the U.S. or Canada comes close to doing as many after hours plumbing repair jobs as Roto-Rooter. We will continue to encourage all of our independent franchises to offer these services.
We use your ZIP code to give you local services and offers.
