January is here and that means cold weather is at hand in much of the country. Frozen pipes will be a problem for the next few months. Building codes in some states now require water supply lines to go through floors instead of outside walls but older homes are still vulnerable. Sewer repair work is particularly challenging this time of year in places like Minneapolis and Buffalo. But Houston plumbers don't have such problems. Plumbing services in those southern cities don't tend to vary by season. Residential plumbing just experienced its busiest period and now we're moving toward a less hectic time. From Halloween through Christmas is a particularly busy time for plumbing contractors who do plumbing repair and replacement.
